Tens of link roads around the camping from GR2 allowing us to discover the most enchanting places in the Natural Park of La Garrotxa’s Volcanic Zone.
Walk to visit the Racó Volcano, Xenacs’ Recreative Area-Viewpoint of the Volcanic Zone and quick descent to the Camping.
Excursion to the chapels of St. Miquel and St. Martí del Corb, visiting the Racó Volcano and the Vall del Corb.
Hiking at the top of the Camping reaching the Racó Volcano and taking the old transit road through the mountains of Xenacs.
Excursion to the top landmark area: the Puigsacalm presiding the Massif of Santa Magdalena. Option less steep: Take a vehicle at St. Private d’en Bas, climbing the highway to Vidrà and leave it at the beginning of the walk (after Collfred and before Ciuret).
More than a trip, it is a walk along the top of Les Preses, passing through the old fortress-house La Torre, walking peacefully with the landscape of the Vall d’en Bas in front of us and in the background, the Puigsacalm and the Pyrenees.
Hike from the Pines Picnic Area (St. Privat d’en Bas) to the magnificent viewpoint of Sta. Magdalena, climbing the steep path of Les Escales to the top of the Salt Sallent. We’ll come back down the road to Les Olletes.tes.
The main walk of these lands: climb the Puigsacalm by Bracons, where you leave the vehicle, climbing through a well tended road, varied and with excellent views. In half a day we can be up and back!
Morning activity to do with the family: Access to the Recreational Area of Xenacs with a vehicle. Walk through the edge of the Marboleny until getting to the Rocalladre cave. Return through beech forests of the Corb summit and the Puig Rodó road.
